This year's wine dinner is going to be the best one yet!
Dancing around the kitchen with Chef Jonathan Hoffman this year:
Anh Luu- New Orleans native, executive chef and creative palate behind NE Portland's Cajun/Creole restaurant, Tapalaya; featured on Food Network's series, Chopped.
Tyler Casiano- Oregon coast native and Pastry Chef at Portland's exclusive Waverley Country Club.
Destiny Dudley- Southerner by way of McMinnville, private sommelier at Chef's Table and owner of EPIC supper club.
This year we have chosen four, small producers from the Portland area to join us:
Meristem Wines: For their second year in a row- Vince and Cheney Vidrine of Meristem Wines, bottle their love of the McMinnville AVA. This dynamic, identical-twin duo, helps us understand the true meaning of "terroir" by producing single vineyard Pinot Noirs, that reveal the distinct difference soil, temperature, elevation and vine age make in a finished wine.
Leah Jorgensen Cellars: New comer- Ms. Leah Jorgensen of Leah Jorgensen Cellars, pays homage to her love of the Loire, while flaunting the elegance and complexity of Oregon. Leah sources her grapes of Cabernet Franc and Gamay Noir from vineyards in Southern Oregon's Applegate AVA and Rogue Valley AVA.
Jasper Sisco: New comer- Mr Justin Paul Russel of Jasper Sisco, pays tribute to his family with his young and blossoming brand. Sourced from a number of sites in both Oregon and Washintgon, Justin chooses his vineyards based on their holistic approach to grape growing and their ability to produce truly bona fide wines.
Swick Wines: New comer- Mr Joe Swick of Swick Wines, produces elegant wines emulative of those you would experience in the dark cellars of France or Portugal. Sourced from both Oregon and Washington, Joe produces native fermented, foot treaded, cerebral wines from both the Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris grapes.
We are super excited to share these amazing producers wines with all of you and can't wait for Chef Hoffman to finish the menu!
